Forbes (via Fefe): „After a prolonged week of drama, Athens finally seemed to accept the terms of the new bail-out package. Too bad the groom may have walked off from the altar. Germany’s response to the Greek ‚Yes‘ has been fairly brutal.“

Jetzt kommts: „Fascinatingly, Schäuble also discussed Portugal today. His precise comments: “If necessary, an adjustment of the Portuguese programme will be prepared”. This would seem to imply Germany is already thinking about a new Portugal bail-out even as it rejects the latest Greek proposals harshly.“

Schäuble redet im Video in Englisch (die Untertitel sind portugiesich). Für ihn sind „das Parlament“ und die „öffentliche Meinung“ das Problem.

    Natürlich ist die öffentliche Meinung für die Herrschaften ein Problem (siehe Sututtgart 21 und Dortmund, Occupy und ACTA). Sonst hätte man ACTA auch auf dem Marktplatz verhandeln können.
    Die Art, wie die öffentliche Meinung EUweit langsam die Barrikaden erklimmt (bei uns reichts gerade erst für einen Oberbürgermeister, aber Kleinvieh macht auch MIst) lässt in meinem dystopischen Weltbild wieder einige bunte Punkte aufleuchten.

    Für mich ist Schäuble und Konsorten das Problem. Aber Schäuble braucht keine Angst zu haben die Systempresse wird es schon „richten“. Die Rettung des Euro ist „alternativlos“.,
