So langsam fliegt denen in Fukushima alles um die Ohren. Die Nachrichtenagentur Kyodo<\/a> beschreibt das in d\u00fcrren Worten: <\/p>\n

„A high-level radiation leak detected Thursday at one of six troubled reactors at the crisis-hit Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant indicates possible damage to the reactor’s vessel, pipes or valves, the government’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said Friday.<\/p>\n

Three workers at the No. 3 reactor’s turbine building, connected to the reactor building, were exposed Thursday to water containing radioactive materials 10,000 times the normal level, with two of them taken to hospital due to possible radiation burns to their feet, the plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co. said.“<\/p>\n

Das ist das, was sie schon zugeben. \u00dcberall in dem Reaktor, in dem auch Plutonium lagert, steht radioaktives Wasser, dessen Kontamination 10.000 Mal h\u00f6her ist als normal.<\/p>\n

„Nishiyama said the high-level radiation is suspected to have originated from the reactor, where overheating fuel rods are believed to have been partially melted, or a boiling pool that stores spent nuclear fuel, both of which are located in the reactor’s building.“<\/p>\n

Im Klartext heisst das: Die Brennst\u00e4be scheinen teilweise geschmolzen zu sein. Also irgendwie ein teilweiser Super-GAU.<\/p>\n

Jetzt erst kommt der Hammer: „As a step to bring the reactors under control, authorities are eager to replace seawater with fresh water in cooling the reactor cores and the pools, as crystallized salt could form a crust on the fuel rods and prevent smooth water circulation, thus diminishing the cooling effect.“<\/p>\n

Ihnen ist aufgefallen, dass Seewasser, das sie jetzt tagelang auf den Reaktor gespritzt haben, Salz enth\u00e4lt – und das macht die Anlage erst recht kaputt. „Seawater has been used at the plant as an emergency measure, but salt in the water could lead to corrosion of the reactors‘ interiors.“ (Quelle<\/a>) <\/p>\n

Sehr h\u00fcbsch auch das Statement eines japanischen Staatssekret\u00e4rs, der laut New York Times<\/a> bemerkte: „What we\u2019ve been finding is that in that area life has become quite difficult“. Das Leben rund um den besch\u00e4digten Reaktor ist schwierig – so kann man es auch formulieren.<\/p>\n

„Officials continue to be dogged by suspicions that they are not telling the entire story about the radiation leaks“. Aha. Wer h\u00e4tte das jetzt gedacht.<\/p>\n
