(…) Using human cultured cells, we demonstrate that a tardigrade-unique DNA-associating protein suppresses X-ray-induced DNA damage by \u223c40% and improves radiotolerance. These findings indicate the relevance of tardigrade-unique proteins to tolerability and tardigrades could be a bountiful source of new protection genes and mechanisms.“<\/p>\n

Da denke ich an die Bibel, Matth\u00e4us 18, Vers 7: „In jener Stunde kamen die J\u00fcnger zu Jesus und fragten: Wer ist denn im Himmelreich der Gr\u00f6\u00dfte? Da rief er ein B\u00e4rtierchen herbei, stellte es in ihre Mitte und sagte: Amen, ich sage euch: Wenn ihr nicht umkehrt und werdet wie die B\u00e4rtierchen, werdet ihr nicht in das Himmelreich hineinkommen. Wer sich so klein macht wie dieses B\u00e4rtierchen, der ist im Himmelreich der Gr\u00f6\u00dfte.“<\/p>\n
