Sehr interessanter Artikel auf counterpunch.org: „Eight Key Points on America’s Defeat in Afghanistan“.

Ich hatte ähnliche Fragen: Hat in Afghanistan eine Art Revolution stattgefunden? Die militärische Taktik der, die sich Taliban nennen, entspricht der klassischen Guerilla-Taktik: Einsickern, infiltrieren, übernehmen, wenn der Feind schwach ist usw.. Aber gibt es auch „rechte“ Revolutionen? Hat sich gar der Klassenkampf, mit hämischem Grinsen, dieses Mal religiotisch-antiimperialistisch kostümiert?

No leftist worth their claim of commitment to humanistic, egalitarian, and revolutionary ideals like socialism and communism would ever root for reactionary Islamic jihadists who brutally oppress women while slaughtering ordinary civilians and imposing a backwards, fundamentalist, and neo-feudal theology justifying that oppression and slaughter.

Der Artikel gibt acht Antworten:

Das genau ist die Frage: Sind die Taliban popular? Ich fürchte, die Antwort ist „ja“. Und daran ist unter anderem die Intervention der „westlichen“ Alliierten in Afghanistan schuld.
